Davis Lee Dismukes, 94, of Dothan passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Henry County Health and Rehab.

Graveside services will be held 11 am Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Sunset Memorial Park Pavilion with Rev. Raymond Holt officiating.

Mr. Dismukes was born April 25, 1917 in Houston County, AL and lived in this area most of his life. He was employed with Burlington Mills for 35 years and left as the oldest employee when the plant was closed. He then worked as a security guard at the Dothan Airport, Flowers Hospital, and at Bruno's for 10 years until he retired in 2007 at the age of 90. Also he was a bailiff at the Houston County Courthouse for several years. Mr. Dismukes was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mary Dismukes of Abbeville, AL; a son Larry Dismukes of Dothan; daughters, Sonja McKnight of Montgomery, AL, Jane Scruggs of Dothan, and Amy Townsend of Sugarland, TX; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.
