Mr. D.C. Creel of Geneva, Alabama passed away Friday, November 4, 2011.  He was 76.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jerry McAdams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Vaughnville cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, November 6, from 2 until 4 p.m.      

 

Mr. Creel was born February 17, 1935 in Geneva County to the late Andrew Ervin and Claudie Lee Crews Creel. He was raised and lived in the Vaughnville community and after several years of service he retired from Clinton Mills. D.C. enjoyed attending the Geneva Senior Center where he had been a member for a number of years. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. 

 

In addition to his parents, a brother, Ervin Creel, Jr. preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include two sisters: Joyce Lindsey, Enterprise, Jimmie Smith (Jimmy), Geneva; 4 brothers: Willie Creel (Mamie), Detroit, AL, Wayne Creel, Port St. Joe, FL, Frank Creel, Ronnie Creel (Mary Jane), all of Geneva; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
