Deacon James Louis Warren was born on March 29, 1929 in Barbour County to the late John T. Warren and Pearlie Warren. His sunset was March 11, 2019.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11 am at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church in Midland City with Bishop Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Memorial Park directing. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
James lived in Midland City, Alabama all his life where he was Deacon at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church where Rev. Felix George was his pastor. He was a devoted husband, father and enjoyed serving his fellow neighbors. In his spare time, he liked to fish and spend time with his family.
He leaves to cherish the love of his life for 68 years, Bennie Mae Fenn Warren; eight children, James Warren, Jr. (Dover, DE), John Wayne (Marianne) Warren (West Germany), Rev. Joel (Sylvia) Warren (Daleville, AL), Laura (Walter) Duncan (Ozark, AL), Walter (Linda) Warren (Galveston, TX), Evangelist Beverly (Wayne) Williams (Ozark, AL), Janice Warren (Fort Drum, NY) and Rosa Pearl (Birthland) Baugh (West Palm Beach, FL); and a family of five generations including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other friends and relatives.
