Debby Smith Hasty, 62 years, of Dothan passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at her residence.


 


Funeral services will be held in the sanctuary of Tabernacle United Methodist Church at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, with Reverend Phillip Collins officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will receive guests in the sanctuary from 9:30 to 11 A.M. an hour and a half prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Humane Society or to Tabernacle United Methodist Church.


 


Mrs. Hasty was born in Houston County on July 18, 1950, to the late Harlon Ray Smith and Velinda E. Smith.


 


She is preceded in death by Harvey Richard Smith and Mattie Coree (Clark) Smith, her paternal grandparents, and Harmon Horace Eddins and Heady Effie (Parish) Eddins, her maternal grandparents.


 


Survivors include her husband, William (Billy) J. Hasty, Jr., step-son, Cameron Michael Hasty, mother, Velinda (Eddins) Smith, sister, Susan (Smith) Dorietty, father-in-law, William J. Hasty, sisters-in-law, Cindy Firth (Bobby) of Virginia; Vera Castle (Jerry) of Texas; and various cousins, nieces and nephews.


 


Pallbearers will be Willy Dorietty, Jamie Cox, Cameron Hasty, Jim Holstine, Ty Chailland, and Woody Bryan.


Honorary pallbearers will be the Sisters-in-a Stitch.
