Deborah Faye “Debo” Clark of Red Level, AL died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Flowers Hospital. She was 59.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Newton officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Flowers will be accepted.
Debo graduated from Slocomb High School and attended Auburn University. She was the founder and president of CollegiateSports Travel and has received numerous awards and accolades from colleges throughout the country for her contributions in college athletics. She was the recipient of the 2009 Texas coaching legend award and was the only female that has ever been presented this prestigious award. She was a loving and dedicated mother and daughter, as well as a friend to many people and she will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Johnny Ralph Clark, and her son, Christopher Neal Clark.
Survivors include her mother, Beulah May Clark of Dothan; daughters, Sky Clark Cobb and her husband, Andy of Red Level; Dylan Spivey of Pensacola, FL; sons, Shane Clark and his wife, Susan of Alabaster; Tyler Spivey of Red Level; brother, Jimmy D. Clark and his wife, Theresa of Capitan, NM; grandchildren, Jordyn Paige Clark of Dothan; Whitney Kate Clark of Alabaster; nieces, Samanatha Clark of Dothan; Christal Clark of Dallas, TX; and nephew, Coleman Clark of Tulsa, OK.
