Mrs. Delma Lowry Johnson, 97, of Ozark, passed away peacefully, on July 25, 2015, at the home of her son Tommy Wise.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Gann officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour prior to service time on Wednesday.
Mrs. Johnson was born July 2, 1918 in Jack, Alabama. Mrs. Johnson, then Mrs. Wise was a long time educator in the Ozark City school system. She taught 3rd grade at Emma P. Flowers and Mixon Schools and then was the Special Education teacher at Flowers.
She was a golden sister member of the ALFA DELTA KAPPA sorority, Alabama Retired Teachers Assoc, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an inactive member of the Ozark Baptist church and the KEENAGER Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by husband’s Lee A. Cramer, Billy Kirk Wise and Al Froman Johnson; her son Lee A. Cramer II (Toby) and step-son Al Froman Johnson, II (Choppy).
She is survived by her son Thomas Kirk Wise of Ozark, step-daughter Alice Johnson Mallory of Atlanta, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
