Date of Service: Family will be receiving friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church beginning at 9:30am on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Brother Paul Edenfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Brother Dennis R McAbee, 75, went to be with the Lord in Birmingham on Monday, February 28, 2022.
Family will be receiving friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church beginning at 9:30am on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Dennis was born on February 15, 1947 in Terrell, Texas. Dennis was an outstanding musician, playing country, rock & roll, and blues throughout his musical career. Dennis was also part of Bethlehem Baptist Church Music Ministry until he lost his vision. At home he loved to listen to music and watch movies with his family
Proceeding him in death are his parents Horace and Patsy McAbee, and a brother Jerry McAbee.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cathy McAbee; children, Dennis McAbee Jr., Shannon (Robert) Vanhoy, Robbie (Carol) McAbee; grandchildren, Robert Vanhoy, Cathrine Vanhoy, Alex McAbee; a sister Donna (Jim) Banks; and several nieces and nephews.
