Dianna Lynn Smith, 61, of Midland City passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.


Funeral services will be 3 pm Monday, June 3, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the funeral home.


Mrs. Smith was born December 23, 1951 in Louisville, KY and lived the early part of her life in Paducah, KY. She moved to Napier Field, AL in 1967 and was employed with Ansell, Collins Signs, and Adams Bakery for several years prior to her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed crafting, and painting ceramics as well as putting together puzzles.


Survivors include her husband Jimmy Smith; daughters, Donna (Michael) Scott, Sherri (Johnny) McAllister, and Heather Jones (Kenneth Parrish, Jr.); a son Jason (Rusty) Smith; grandchildren, Kellie McAllister (Kwame' Glanton), Dewayne (Meagan) McAllister, Blake Blackmon (Alicia Armstrong), and Amber Parrish; great-grandchildren, Joseph McAllister, Kaydence Creech, Paige McAllister, Drake McAllister, and Preston Blackmon; sisters, Pam (Lloyd) Junkin and Linda (Glenn) Drake; a brother Dinker Hardy; best friends, Alice Etheridge and Jackie Kelly; several nieces and nephews also survive.
