Dianne Walden, 55, a resident of Midland City, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Following the services, the family will be at 3554 Napier Field Road, Dothan, AL.

Dianne was born November 24, 1960 in Tumbleton, AL and spent the early part of her life in Headland and Dothan. She was employed as a server with Dobb’s BBQ and Mister J’s and also as a patient caregiver both as a private sitter and also with Wesley Manor. She loved listening to country music and early easy rock. Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Frances Williams and her grandmother, Flois Dunn.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin (Toni) Gamble and Blake (Kristi) Walden; her daughter, Heather Walden (Tyler Joyner); her grandchildren, Caleb Gamble, Katlyn Gamble, Dawson Vinson, and Breanna Key; her father, Larry (Lynda) Shelley; her brothers, Don (Kathy) Shelley, Anthony Shelley, Bryan Shelley, and Chris Shelley; her nieces, Christy Arnette and Nicole Shelley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Hill, Davy Dozier, Kelly Landreau, Heath Moorehead, Caleb Gamble, Chris Shelley, Bryan Shelley, and Wade Cleckler. Honorary pallbearer will be Stan Bowers.
