Dimple Ruth Bowden Zorn, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 95 years old.


Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula with Dr. Ken Bush and Dr. Ray Cureton officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. The burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.


Dimple was born March 18, 1929, in Clayton, Alabama, to the late Jamie Bowden and Lee Ella Blakey Bowden. She was a great cook who was known for her amazing divinity, fudge, and chocolate cakes. Dimple was a true farmers wife and was always by her husband’s side to help with anything he might need. She loved her community and was always willing to extend a helping hand. In her later years she loved spending time with her sister Mary Delle. Above all else Dimple loved her family and being with them as much as possible. She was a member of the Texasville Homemakers Club and Pleasant View Presbyterian Church.


She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Willie Ray Zorn; sister, Ernestine Parmer; brother, James Wes Bowden.


Survivors include son, James Ray Zorn (Lee) of Eufaula; two daughters, Elizabeth Annette Woodham (Wayne) of Eufaula and Deborah Lee Green (Jerry) of Columbus, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Delle Padgett of Eufaula and Libby Brown (Bobby) of Milton, Florida; five grandchildren, Dan Woodham (Jennifer), Will Woodham, Ric Green, Blake Green (Tracey), and Ross Zorn (Lacie); seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Woodham, McCoy Woodham, Rebecca Woodham, Brooks Green, Collyns Green, Camp Green, and Noelle James Zorn; two sisters-in law, Frankie Joyce Davis and Annie Merle Houston; numerous nieces and nephews.


Asked to serve as pallbearers are her grandsons Dan Woodham, Will Woodham, Ric Green, Blake Green, Ross Zorn, Brooks Green, and McCoy Woodham.


The family would like to thank Dimple’s caretakers for all their love and support.
