Dixie S. Chapman, 97, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy West officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm Tuesday, prior to the services.


Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.


Mrs. Chapman was born December 21, 1920 in Coffee County, Alabama to Robert and Mattie Crumpler Stewart and lived the early years of her life there. She moved to Dothan as a young adult and was a homemaker. She was always ready with a joke and had such an outgoing personality. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.


She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, William B. Chapman and six siblings.


She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ike Chapman (Nancy Walters) of Montgomery and Freddy Chapman (Donna) of Dothan; two grandchildren, Mark Chapman (Crystal) of Houston, Texas and Alan Chapman of Southport, FL.
