James Donald “Don” Maddox, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at a local hospital. He was 63.

The family will receive friends at Highland Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 4-6 pm.

Don was born November 15, 1955 in Houston County and he lived the early years of his life in Dothan. He was a 1974 graduate of Chipola School. Don was employed with Meadow Gold Ice Cream Company for 20 years until the plant closed. Later he was employed in the surveillance department of the President Casino in Gulf Port. Don moved to Midland City in 2005.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sue Maddox; his children, Wanda (Michael) Ward and Amanda Woodham; grandchildren, Jada Maddox, Logan Ward, and Zadie Ward.
