SHORTERVILLE. . .Donald Albert “Pug” Cummings, a resident of Shorterville, died Thursday morning, December 6, 2018, at his home. He was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 8, 2018, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Mr. Cumming was a lifelong resident of Henry County, son of the late James Edward Cummings and Mable Money Cummings. He was a master watch and clock repairman. Mr. Cummings was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Edward Cummings, and three brothers, James Edward “BB” Cummings, Robert E “Bob” Cummings and William F “Bill” Cummings.
Surviving relatives include four sisters, Margaret Woelfle, Chicago; Mary “Mickey” Davis, Atlanta; Betty Cummings, Shorterville; and Linda Beckham (Durwood), Gastonia, NC; a sister-in-law, Sarah Cummings, Abbeville; a brother, Paul Cummings, Charleston, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.
