Donald “Don” E. Cruea, 83, of Marion, Indiana, peacefully passed away on December 26th, 2020.
Don Cruea was born on July 4, 1937 to Aaron and Myrtle Cruea in Marion, Indiana. After Don graduated from Summitville High School, he joined the United States Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne. In 1963, Don married Pat and had three children, Donnie, Trish and Deanna.
In 1998, Don retired after 35 years from the Florida Department of Transportation. During retirement, Don enjoyed time with his wife Pat, his children and his grandchildren. He also found time to hunt and fish and cheer for his Florida State Seminoles. Don was a member of the Maple Avenue Baptist Church.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Aaron & Myrtle, his sisters Joyce, Betty, Mary Lou, Arden and Rosemary and his brothers Norman, Earl Wayne and Bobby. Don is survived by his sisters, Judy and Nancy, his wife Pat, and their three children, Donnie (Laurie), Trish (Lamar) and Deanna (Adam) and their grandchildren Meghan, Troy and Ava.
Services will be held at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, 2744 W Magnolia Ave, Geneva, AL 36340, on January 1st, 2021. The family will begin to receive visitors at 11:00 AM and funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Don’s name to the American Stroke Association.
