Mr. Donald Edward “Dunk” Keith of Samson, Alabama (Holley Store Community) died Friday, June 21, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins, Rev. Elbert Smith and Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery (Holley Store Community) with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Visitation will be Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted.
Donald was born September 18, 1941 in Coffee County, AL to the late James Wilmer and Bunie Esther Holley Keith. He was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Dunk”. He was a farmer at heart and enjoyed raising chickens and spending time outside. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Keith.
Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Margaret Jackson Keith of Samson (Holley Store Community); three children, Kenneth Keith (Karen) of Dothan, AL, Ann Nay and Billy Wayne Cooper (Kacey), all of Samson, AL; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Keith (Jeannie) of Kinston, AL; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
