Don's passion for art was evident early on, as he spent countless hours drawing and creating, a hobby that brought him great joy and allowed him to share his view of the world with others.
As Don matured, his interests grew to include gardening, a pastime through which he cultivated not only vegetables but also relationships with his neighbors and friends. Don's garden was a place of tranquility and generosity, as he often shared the fruits of his labor with those around him. His love of people was palpable, and he was always ready to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need.
Don was a simple man with a big heart, always looking for ways to help others. He was strong-headed, yet his resolve was always directed towards positive ends. His family was the cornerstone of his life. Don's life was enriched by the presence of a host of other family members who will miss his presence deeply.
Don was preceded in death by his father, James W. Green, and his special dad, Joseph C. Hidalgo, Sr., both of whom instilled in him the values of family and hard work. He was also preceded by his brothers, Dennis George Green and Joseph Hidalgo Jr., and his grandparents, John Bowen and Flossie Lee Hasty Bowen, who loved him dearly.
