Mr. Donald Dean Langley of Geneva, Alabama passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015. He was 72.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. James Weaver and Sister Brenda Jones officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Beechwoods Cemetery in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania. Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva is in charge of local arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mr. Langley was born August 17, 1942, in Bethalto, Illinois to the late Virgil and Mary Holliday Langley. Don was a veteran of U.S. Army. He enjoyed NASCAR, music, traveling, cooking and working in his yards. For a number of years he was a member of the Wii Bowling Team “The Mighty Strikers” at the Geneva Senior Center. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at the center, but especially the bowling team.
In addition to his parents, his first wife and mother of his children, Hazel Genell Langley, a daughter, Rhonda Renee Langley, a brother, Ronald Langley, and a sister, Marlene Schott, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Langley of Geneva, AL; two sons: Donald Smith and Carl (Vickie) Langley, Sr. of DuBois, PA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Virgil (Dorothy) Langley of Bowling Green, MO; one sister, Charlene Rush, Glendale, CA; three step sons: Woody (Jean) Hughen, Tony (Tina) Hughen and Paul Hughen; three step daughters: Cindy (Dale) Collins, Christina (Stacy) Pippin and Rebecca Hughen all of Panama City, FL; 12 step grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
