DOTHAN. . .Donna Hand Jordan, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday night, March 26, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. She was 59.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in the Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Larry Sowell officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of a sister, Debbie Singletary, 408 Cove Road, Abbeville.
Donna Jordan was born and reared in Headland and was a 1975 graduate of Headland High School. She received a B.A. Degree in Business Administration from Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida. Donna was formerly employed as Event Coordinator with Arrow Rents/Party Professionals in Montgomery. In later years, she co-owned and operated Baker’s Landing on Thomas Mill Creek. Donna was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Harold Hand, her mother, Jeanette Dasinger Hand Grantham, her husband, Gary Mitchell Jordan, and her grandparents, Theodore and Otis Hand and Vernice Dasinger.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Jenna Davis, and a son, Ira Porter Davis, II, both of Jackson, MS; two sisters, Kay Mosley, Jakin, GA; and Debbie Singletary (Brian Early), Abbeville; several aunts and uncles including, Martha Trawick, James Dasinger and Jack Dasinger; several nieces and nephews including Samantha Barron, Nicholas Singletary, Mason Mosley, Mandi Godwin and Brandon Early.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Allen, Tony Perry, Wendell “Muff” Neising, Jay Pate, Wayne D. Wilson and Joe Cobb.
