Donna grew up in Samson, AL and was a 1974 graduate of Samson High School where she enjoyed years of cheering for the Samson Tigers. Donna accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Samson First Baptist Church.  She was a 1978 honor graduate of the University of Alabama, earning a B.A. in Communications. Donna worked in advertising, starting as a graphic artist in Dothan, AL then moved to the Dallas, TX market as a Senior Production Manager with the Richards Group Ad Agency. Her greatest career achievement was also in Dallas as Associate Director of Production/Creative Advertising with Neiman Marcus. Donna took pride in her work and had an impeccable eye for details in advertising print and color.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, her brother, James Richard (Jim) Eddins, twin nephews, Jonathan Daniel and Joseph Duncan Eddins and both maternal grandparents, Daniel Ingram and Eva Slate Adkison and paternal grandparents, Harmon and Effie Parrish Eddins.

She is survived by her forever Valentine, James (Jay) Williams of Ragland, AL; mother, Joline Adkison Eddins; sister, Eva Lynn Yance (Greg) of Dothan, AL; brother, Joseph Daniel Eddins (Nancy) of Lucedale, MS; nephews, James David Eddins (Elizabeth), Joseph Daniel Eddins, Jr, James Dathan Eddins (Erica), Joshua Patrick Yance; niece Mi McKeown (Marten); special great nieces and nephews, Sonny Joe, Shyloh-Grayce, Mila Rose, Katelyn and Ash. She was lovingly known as “Aunt Donna” by Brooke Sparks and Ashley Givens.

Donna leaves behind her fur baby, Ella Bama and lifelong friends, Mona Crews, Beth Spires-Jones, and the SHS Class of 1974. Donna was such an encourager to friends and strangers, keeping a positive outlook and remaining prayerful throughout her illness. She loved college football and looked forward to cheering for the Crimson Tide. We will miss her presence and laughter until we meet again.
