HEADLAND…Doris H. Mullins, a resident of Headland, died early Monday morning, June 21, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. She was 99.
Private graveside services for the family will be held Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Headland Methodist Cemetery with Reverend Misty Barrett officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Headland United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 103 West King Street, Headland, AL 36345.
Doris H. Mullins was born and reared in Ozark, daughter of the late Jim Head and Bonnie Heath Head. She volunteered at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center for thirty years. In earlier years, Mrs. Mullins served as a bookkeeper with her husband at the Headland Milling Company. She lived in Headland most of her adult lifetime and was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her husband, Murloy Mullins, and her brother, Cecil Head.
Surviving relatives include two sons, James M. “Jimmy” Mullins (Gigi), Panama City, FL; and Mike Mullins (Brenda), Headland; six grandchildren, Ken Mullins (DeAnn), Brad Mullins (Stephanie), Matt Mullins (Eva), Jon Mullins (Melody), Julie Whatley (Heath) and Joey Mullins; eleven great-grandchildren, Bradley Mullins, Kennedy Grace Mullins, Stevie-Marie Mullins, Mattie Mullins, Ethan Mullins, Kate Black (Joel), Meredith Humphries (Logan), Madison Martin, Katie Mullins, David Mullins and Zack Mullins; one great-great-granddaughter, Hensley Black.
