Doris Patterson Blevins, 76, of Dothan passed away July 24, 2013 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, July 28, 2013 at The Episcopal Church of the Nativity with Father John Coleman officiating and Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends following the services at a reception at the Basketcase. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016

Mrs. Blevins was born September 21, 1936 in Ashville, Alabama and she resided the early years of her life there. She was a 1954 graduate of Gadsden High School. Mrs. Blevins resided in Houston, Texas prior to moving to Dothan in 1972. She worked with her daughter at the Basketcase Café and Catering, and also was a volunteer at Flowers Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Blevins, Dothan; her daughters, Donna (Rick) Balzaratti, Dothan, Gina (Stuart) Henderson; her grandchildren, Trent Henderson, Alex Bell and Zack Bell; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
