DORIS STINSON BOSTICK
HEADLAND. . .Doris Stinson Bostick, a former resident of the Tolbert Community of Henry County, died Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2014, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 90.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 23, 2014, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan, with Larry Pitchford officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tolbert Baptist Church, c/o Steve Parrish, 645 County Road 122, Headland, AL 36345, or to the “Activities Fund” of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility, 212 Dothan Road, Dothan, AL 36310.
A native of the Capps Community of Henry County, Mrs. Bostick was reared in Abbeville, daughter of the late Walter Eric Stinson and Willie Mae Wells Stinson. She lived in the Tolbert Community most of her adult lifetime and was a member of the Tolbert Baptist Church. Mrs. Bostick was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Bostick, a son, Eddie Carl Bostick, and three brothers, Grant Stinson, Bobby Ray Stinson, and Charles Stinson.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Charity Bostick, Headland; and Tami Bostick, Echo Community; three sisters, Jean Culpepper, and Peggy Cummings Jackson, both of Abbeville; and Patsy Clark (Melvin), Eufaula; sisters-in-law, Ruby Stinson, Abbeville; and Ruth Stinson, Hazel Park, Michigan; a grandson, Eddie Carl Bostick, Jr.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ray Stinson, Randy Cummings, Kurt Cummings, Keith Crowley, David Cummings, Steve Flournoy, and Chris Cummings.
