Dorothy Ann Taylor, 52, a resident of Dothan passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Walter L. Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.


Ms. Taylor was born March 24, 1964 in Abbeville, AL and resided there the early part of her life. She was a 1983 graduate of Abbeville High School and has been employed with the Ashley Furniture Home Store for the past 28 years. She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she was president of the choir and served as a Sunday school teacher.


Survivors include her sons, Gabriel (Resheda) Jackson, Sr. and Louis Jackson, II; her daughter, Christina Jackson; her grandchildren, Brendyn Reynolds, Gabriel Jackson, Jr., Zjohn Jackson, Shamiiya Rhodes, Lyric Jackson, Kameron Jackson, and Kinston Knight; her brothers, Robert Taylor, Charles Taylor, and Ted Taylor; her sisters, Linda Sanders, Sarah Taylor, and Barbara Culver; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive; a best friend of 47 years Cathy Walker.
