Dorothy Elizabeth Hall, age 93, a lifelong resident of Houston County, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Signature Healthcare of North Florida (Graceville), following an extended illness.

Dorothy was born in Houston County on March 21, 1930, to the late Johnny Espy & Lillie Hall Lee, she spent most of her early life in Cottonwood. Later as a young adult, Dorothy married Edd Roy Hall, and together they had four children. They lived most of their life in Cottonwood before moving to Dothan in 1994. Dorothy worked as a beautician and for Dothan Hosiery. She also worked for many years at Sony and at Sam’s Club as a greeter. She was of Baptist faith and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, Edd Roy Hall; a son, Rodney Hall; two brothers, Millard Lee, and Burl Lee.

She is survived by, three daughters, Barbara Peters (Richard) of Dothan, Cathy Fitzgerald (Jim) of Birmingham, and Terri Michalic (Kevin) of Dothan; a daughter-in-law, Johnnie Ruth Hall of Dothan, 8 great-children, Kim Prevatt, John Hall, Lee Peters, Chris Peters, Kendall Henderson, Dustin Roy, Rachael Jackson, Paige Klein; 12 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Ben Hall (Sonny) of Malone, FL.
