Dorothy Marie DeSimone Miles, 75, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at her residence.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating and Sunset Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Miles was born July 6, 1939 in Rochester, New York and lived the early years of her life there. She was employed with Bond’s Clothing and the Democratic Chronicle for several years. Mrs. Miles moved to Dothan in 2001 and was employed with Cooking Good/Perdue for 4 years prior to her retirement in 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Miles; her siblings, Frank DeSimone, Theresa DeSimone, Rose Mary DeSimone Spall and Annie DeSimone Mosser. Mrs. Miles was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Survivors include her brother, Bill (Betty) Lux; her step-son, Scott (Paula) Hanna; her step-daughter, LeAnn (Dave) Crockett; step-grandchildren, Ashleigh Hanna, Jacob Perry, Victoria Crockett, Alexandria Crockett and Charlotte Crockett; nine nieces and nephews.
