Dorothy Nell Martin, age 96, of Byrdstown, TN, formerly of Ariton, AL, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at The Pavilion Senior Living in South Carthage, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lanny Shepard officiating.  Burial will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Vineyard Christian Retreat, 245 County Road 131, Ariton, AL 36311 or New Hope Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 5711 County Road 114, Brundidge, AL 36010.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years William Martin.

Survivors include her two sons, William (Bill) Martin (Helen), Byrdstown, TN; Robert (Bob) Martin (Teresa), Huntsville, AL; two grandsons, Vince Martin (Debbie), and Mickey Martin (Misti); four great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
