Dorothy Runell Anderson

Dorothy Runell Anderson, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was 89.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery on Iris Rd. with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Anderson; her parents; and two brothers, Bernard Starling and Tommy Watkins.

Survivors include ten children, John Anderson, Martha Mills, Edna Tomlin, Elaine Perry, Jimmy Anderson, Danny Anderson, Ronnie Anderson, Steve Anderson, Keith Anderson, and Debbie Crawford; three brothers, Ed Watkins, John Starling and Jerry Starling; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers, medical staff, friends and family for the care you have given and the support you have shown to us all.
