Douglas Paul Enfinger, known affectionately as Doug to his friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2023, at the age of 62 in his hometown of Dothan, Alabama. Born on November 26, 1961, to Edsel Paul Enfinger and Laura Mae Enfinger, Doug was a lifelong resident of Dothan, where he also built his business and raised his family.
Doug was a proud graduate of Northview High School Class of 1980 and Wallace Community College and went on to become the respected owner of Dothan Auto Specialists. His work was more than a job; it was a reflection of his dedication to his customers and his passion for cars. He was also actively involved in Ridgecrest Baptist Church, where he formed many lasting friendships.
An avid outdoorsman, Doug relished time spent fishing and hunting. He was renowned for his grilling skills and the memorable fish fries he hosted, always surrounded by family and friends. Doug’s love for working was only matched by his joy in sharing stories with anyone he met, truly embodying the spirit of someone who never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lisa Enfinger; his sons, Blake and Reid Enfinger; and his three sisters. Doug will be remembered as a handy, honest, and loving man whose legacy of warmth and generosity will continue to influence those who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm Monday, January 1, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
