Dr. Charles Paschal Brooks, 73, of 1138 Quail County Rd., Arlington, GA 39813 passed away Friday night, Oct. 28, 2016 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. The family will have a visitation Sunday afternoon, Oct. 30, 2016 from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, EDT, at the Quail Country Lodge, Quail County Rd., Arlington, Ga. His Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday morning at 10 AM, EDT, at Quail Country on the grounds with Paul Jones, Rev. Rick Turner, Chris Cowart and Rev. William Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews, Stuart Hathorn ,Vic Hathorn, Jay Hathorn, Wendell Brooks; and Ranch hands, Randy Lovering, Jimmie Bodiford, Lenzy Bodiford, Chas Bridges. Dr. Brooks was born April 27, 1943 in Colquitt, Ga. to the late Charles Edward Brooks, Jr. and Marie Middleton Brooks. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Charles Edward Brooks, III and Gene Brooks. He was a 1968 graduate of Emory University School of Dentistry in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Brooks has completed over 5,200 hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry. Dr. Brooks has done extensive research in temporomandibular joint disorders and has taught this subject to many students through Framework International, Inc. Dr. Brooks is board eligible as a practitioner in orthodontics and is a Fellow of International College of CranioMandibular Orthopedics. His survivors include his wife, Kay Newberry Brooks, EDD, of Arlington, Ga.; 2 daughters: Karie P. Spence and husband John and Lee Ann Dalrymple and husband Matt, all of Arlington, Ga. and a son, Dr. Chase Brooks, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Blakely, Ga.; Mother-in-law: Ann Craft Newberry of Arlington, Ga.; He has a brother: Francis Irving “Fib” Brooks of Colquitt, Ga. There are 7 grandchildren: Avery, Grayson and Harlowe Spence of Arlington, Ga.; Massee Claire and Charlie Brooks of Blakely, Ga. and Trigg and Brooks Kayte Dalrymple of Arlington, Ga. 2 Sisters-in-law: Sylvia H. Brooks and Debra Hathorn and Rodney, all of Arlington, Ga.; 2 Brothers-in-law: Tom Newberry and Joy and Mark Newberry. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Burning Bush Ministries, 575 Retreat Road, Arlington, GA 39813 Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home Blakely, Georgia, in charge of arrangements.
