Dr. Donald Raymond Musselman of Dothan passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 90.
Donald was born on December 15, 1931 in Lynch, KY to the late Frank Aubrey Musselman and Alma Grace Monahan. After high school, Donald enlisted in the United States Navy where he received the United Nations Service Ribbon, Korean Service Ribbon, China Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct medal. After leaving the military, Donald attended Monterey Peninsula College, where he obtained his Associates Degree in 1956. He also obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from East Tennessee State University in 1959, a Master’s Degree in 1961 from VA Tech, Advanced Graduate Degree in 1963 from The College of William and Mary, and his PhD in 1978 from VA Tech. In 1962, Donald married the love of his life, Marlene. Together they raised three beautiful children.
Donald enjoyed many hobbies, which included publishing a book “The Other Side of September”, teaching Men’s Bible Class, attending First United Methodist Church of Dothan, playing basketball in college, and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his daughter, Ramarla Jo Musselman, and seven siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Musselman; sons, Donald Musselman Jr. and Brad Musselman.
