Date of Service: A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church of Dothan with Reverend Rob Oates officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday at the church. Dr. Soh will be inurned in Iksan, South Korea.

Dr. In Young Soh, 73, a resident of Dothan, AL passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 with his family at his bedside.
In Young Soh was born on May 31, 1948 in Hamyol, South Korea to Dr. Chin-Thack Soh and Mrs. Moon-Ae Noh. He was married on April 12, 1975 to Dr. A Mi Soh at Ruth Chapel, Yonsei University. Dr. Soh received his medical degree from Yonsei University School of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. Before moving to the United States in 1975, he served as a flight surgeon in the Republic of Korea Air Force. He completed his internship at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and his internal medicine residency at South Baltimore General Hospital. He completed his rheumatology fellowship at University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis and continued to practice internal medicine and rheumatology in Michigan for many years where he also taught as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He moved to Alabama in 2003 where he continued to practice as a rheumatologist.
Dr. Soh enjoyed singing, gardening, golf, travel, and music. His sense of humor and compassionate nature were felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and patients. Guided by his strong Christian faith, he served as a medical missionary to Nicaragua as well as on domestic medical missions for migrant farmers. In addition to being a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dothan, he was also a member of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Metro Detroit, where he served as an Elder. While acting as President of the Severance Alumni Association USA, he was well regarded for his ability to build support through humility and humor. Among his later accomplishments, he received a Master of Science in International Relations from Troy University and learned to play the piano. He loved and found joy in his grandchildren and was a loving son, husband, father, and brother. Dr. Soh was a humble man of faith and rested peacefully in the hands of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. A Mi Soh; daughter and son-in-law Cara Soh and Alexander Briseno; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Peter Soh and Dr. Safina H. Soh; grandchildren, Isobel and Ethan Briseno; mother, Moon-Ae Noh; sisters, Dong Sook Lee, Dr. Seong Sook Chung, Young Oak Chun, and Misun Kim; and brother Dr. Eui Young Soh.
