Dr. Vickey McNeal won her battle on August 7, 2014 and is resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Dr. McNeal was a retired educator and a resident of The Villages, FL, formerly of Griffin, GA and a native of Pansey, AL.
Dr. McNeal was a graduate of Ashford High School, Troy State University, Georgia State University, and Western State University. She also did post graduate study at Immanuel Baptist Seminary and Grace Fellowship.
Dr. McNeal was a published author and is listed in the Survey of Women Administrators in Vocational Education, Personalities of the South, Men and Women of Distinction, and Who’s Who in Professional and executive Women. She was also an active member of the American Business Women Association in Griffin, GA
Dr. McNeal was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Cerita Harwell; parents: Ralph E. and Bessie Mae Vickers McNeal; siblings: Doris McNeal Walters, Bill McNeal, Glenda Faye McNeal Clayton, Katie (Tommie) McNeal Kay, Jean McNeal Adams, two infant sisters, and beloved niece, Judy Dooling. Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Mary McNeal, Pansey AL, Al and Margie Trull, Gordon, AL, and one sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Larry Baker, Bimington, NY, and close to 100 nieces and nephews. Related in faith and love she is also survived by Judy and Gino De Giorgio, Ocala, FL.
Memorial services will be held on August 30, 2014, at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Gordon, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LIFE Church Assembly of God, Missions, Fruitland Park, FL, Habitat for Humanity, or Heifer International.
