HEADLAND. . .Dwight Carl Bowling, Jr., a resident of Headland, died early Thursday afternoon, October 15, 2020, in a Dothan hospital. He was 76.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bowling was born and reared in Kinsey, Alabama, son of the late Dwight Carl Bowling, Sr. and Clara Mae Rich Bowling. He lived most of his lifetime in the Wiregrass area and moved to Headland in 2018. Mr. Bowling was a member of the Oakey Grove Baptist Church and the Union Springs Masonic Lodge. He was retired as the owner and operator of C & J Maintenance Specialists. He was employed for most of his life as an Industrial Electrician. Mr. Bowling was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Harbert.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Jean Pierce Bowling, a daughter, Aimee Baldwin (Joshua), Slocomb; two sons, Tony Riley (Stacey), Donalsonville, GA; and Matt Riley, Alpine, AL; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
