Earl Ward, 57, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Flowers Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Brother Thomas Harrison and Royce Morrow officiating and Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5pm until 7pm.

Earl was born May 11, 1957 in Geneva County Alabama and he lived the early years of his life in the Dothan area. He was a 1975 graduate of Wicksburg High School and was employed with Lewis and Associates and later with Saliba Construction for 40 years until his retirement in 2013. Earl adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. Earl was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Downes Ward; his son, Brenton Edward (Lori) Ward; his daughters, Holly Marie (Jason) King and Christie Leigh Ward (Hunter Ellenburg); his 4 grandchildren, Jody Easton King, Aubrey Leigh King, Layla Jade Ellenburg, and Charlotte Marie Ward; his mother, Omega Dean Ward; his brother, Gerald (Sandy) Ward; his sister, Debra (Gary) Treadaway; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
