STAN KILLEBREW
ABBEVILLE…Edgar Stanley (Stan) Killebrew, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was 55.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 26, 2013, in the First Baptist Church of Abbeville with Reverend Mike Whitt and Reverend Ray S. Reiley officiating and a eulogy to be given by a nephew, Kenton Killebrew. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday in the First Baptist Church Family Life Building.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Abbeville Building Fund, P.O. Box 606, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Stan Killebrew was a lifelong resident of Abbeville and was a 1975 graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville where he formerly served as a Deacon. Stan was engaged in farming with his family most of his adult lifetime. He was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed flying.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Shanna Killebrew, Birmingham; Skylar Killebrew, Abbeville; and Susan Killebrew, Lawrenceburg, TN; his parents, Edgar T. Killebrew, Jr. and Gussye Arnold Killebrew, Abbeville; a sister, Alison Killebrew Suddarth (Chris), Dothan; a brother, Kent Killebrew, Headland; nieces, Kerrie Killebrew Money, Claire Suddarth, and nephews, Kenton Killebrew (Haley), Kyle Killebrew (Kasey), Matt Suddarth, and Clay Suddarth; an aunt, Miriam Rogers (Bill), Tallahassee, FL.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jim Richardson, Hal Richardson, Sam Richardson, Kenton Killebrew, Kyle Killebrew, Dr. Mark Morelock, Dr. Perry Mobley, Bobby Joe Kennedy, and Matt Suddarth.
