Edith Elizabeth Cornell, age 70, of Enterprise, AL, formerly of Columbus, GA, passed away, Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Edith was born to parents, Eugene and Henrietta Cornell on January 15, 1949 in Waycross, Georgia.
A service is being held in her loving memory at North Highland Church in Columbus, GA next Thursday, March 7th at 12 PM. She will then be laid to rest with her parents in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida at Edgewood Cemetery on Saturday, March 9th at 2 P.M.
Edith graduated from Paxon High School in 1967. She worked as an Executive Assistant for 30 plus years retiring from Georgia Power.
Edith enjoyed the title of “Devoted” mother, GMA (grandmother) and great-grandmother.
Survivors include a daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Morgan (Shane), Ellerslie, GA; sons, David Michael Owens (Kelli), Enterprise, AL; Russell Kent Owens (Christi), Columbus, GA; Brandon Keith Owens, Ellerslie, GA; 11 grandchildren, Frankie, Christopher, Mikey, Ashlee, Brycen, Amelia, Amy, Bladen, Insley, Kayla and Krista; 2 great-grandchildren, Addison Mae and Kash.
