EDMUND “BLAKE” BARKER
ABBEVILLE, AL… Edmund “Blake” Barker, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away Monday morning, June 5, 2023, at his home. He was 81.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel.

Mr. Barker was born on May 27, 1942 in Macon, Georgia, to the late E.B. and Josephine Fielding Barker. He was a 1960 graduate of Lanier High School. He attended the University of Georgia. He worked in the lumber industry, working with Universal Forest Products and Great Southern Wood Preserving. After retiring, he obtained his real estate license, where he worked with Ingram Land and Development. Blake loved to fish and spend time at Crystal River in Florida.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Barker Lamb; and his step-son, Jason Derek Ball.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of thirty-six years, Suzanne M. “Sue” Barker; his daughters, Camille White (Benjy) of Macon, GA, Lisa McKee (Sean) of Forsyth, GA, and Polly Passinault (Darrell) of Elko, GA; his step-son, Bruce Ball Jr. (Joe Denicola) of Bowie, MD; and his grandchildren, Parker & Ethan White, Katherine & Sarah Clay, and Walker Passinault.
