EDSEL  FORD  HAMM



WEBB. . .Edsel Ford Hamm, a resident of Webb, Alabama, died Friday night, June 14, 2019, at his home. He was 82.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 17, 2019, in the Webb Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Laseter officiating. Graveside services, with Masonic Rites, will follow in the Webb Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday in the church sanctuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Alacare Hospice, 3379 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36305.


            Mr. Hamm was born and reared in the Bethlehem Community, near Headland, son of the late Mose Leonard Hamm and Martha Quillie Snellgrove Hamm. He served his country in the Army National Guard in the Headland unit which was activated during the Berlin Crisis. Mr. Hamm lived in Webb since 1975 where he was a member of the Webb Baptist Church. He was a member of the Taylor Masonic Lodge No. 447, was a Scottish Rite Mason and also received a fifty-year pin. Mr. Hamm was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ashford chapter. He was retired as a salesman in heavy duty and trailer parts. Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Jones Hamm, a daughter, Paula Vinson, two sisters, Agnes Watson and Edna Gifford, three brothers, Robert Hamm, Leonard Hamm and Buddy Hamm and a great-grandson, Austin McNeal.


            Surviving relatives include a son, Eddie Chris Hamm, Webb, AL;  four sisters, Sandra Johnson, Martha Klempter, Catherine Fennell, and Nelle Ward; three grandchildren, Eddie Chris Hamm, Jr. (Angie), Kaye Dukes (Johnathan) and Jason Lee McNeal; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Michelle, Makayla, Allie, Logan and Wesley; and one great-great-grandson, Walker.
