Obituary: Edward Benjamin Smith

 

Edward Benjamin Smith, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his residence. He was 64.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend John McCrummen officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel cemetery in Coffee Springs, Al with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Ben was born December 8, 1958 to John Edward and Mary F. Sadler Smith.

Survivors include his children: Georgia Smith (Joshua C. Ward) of New Brockton, Al, Virginia Smith of Chancellor, Al, Anthony Hall (Stacie) of Enterprise, Al, Angela Riley of Enterprise, Al; parents, John and Mary Smith; three sisters: Linda Moring (Luckey) of Coffee Springs, Al, Janet Autrey (Mark) of Prattville, Al, Sheila Vass (Robbie) of Eustis, FL; four grandchildren: Dakota Evans, Montanna Mock, Everett Riley, Hanna Riley (Tristin), ex-wife Diane Smith.

The family asks that anyone attending to please wear their favorite Alabama football memorabilia.
