Date of Service A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 pm.

Edward Earl Ramshur, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 after a short illness at Piedmont Regional Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2 pm.
Ed was born on July 26, 1944 in Crystal Springs, MS and lived there the early years of his life. He worked in the construction industry from the age of 15, and the last 16 years at Batson Cook. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ramshur, his parents, Benjamin F. Ramshur and Dola Mae Smith, his 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his 2 daughters, Andrea M. Ramshur and Lori Ann Egler and her husband, Brian Alan Egler of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Michaela A. Egler and Nicholas Alan Egler, both of Indiana, Philadelphia Anderson, and Dallas (Courtney) Anderson; several great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Minnie Mae Whilhite of Tennessee and Opal Vines of Natchez, MS.
