Effie Hargrove, a resident of New Brockton, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. She was 75.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm (CST) on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, 5500 County Road 270, Valley, Alabama with Rev. Bill Bryan officiating and Robert Byrd directing.

Mrs. Hargrove was born on September 23, 1942 in New Brockton, Alabama and lived there the early years of her life. She lived in Opelika for several years and was employed with the textile industry for over 20 years. Mrs. Hargrove loved spending time with her family and enjoyed working in the yard. She was a member of Harvest Time Church in Samson, Alabama.

Survivors include her sons, Robin (Starla) Hargrove and Charlie Hargrove; her daughters, Rhonda (Johnny) Faulk, Margaret (Dewayne) Bradshaw, and Myra Baine; her 15 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; her brother, Willie Hardy; her sisters, Lisa Hilyer and Lorraine White; several nieces and nephews.
