Effie Ravinell McCall

Mrs. Effie Ravinell McCall Carter of Hundley Road, Slocomb, Alabama, formerly of Samson, passed away Monday, March 29, 2013 at her residence. She was 75.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 1, in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Hwy 52 West in Geneva with Rev. Jimmy Eddins officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mrs. Carter was born January 25, 1938, to the late Jewel Ramer and Fannie Iola Davis McCall.

In addition to her parents her husband, Gerald Carter, as well as two brothers, Earl and Louie McCall, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Terri Fletcher (Ken), of Slocomb and Loni Williams of North Carolina; one son, Shawn Carter (Pam) of Westville; two sisters: Joyce Hagens and Peggy McCall; one brother, Lomax McCall (Kay), all of Samson; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other extended family and friends.
