Elizabeth Dove Cook went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2016 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. Elizabeth was a 1988 graduate of Houston Academy where she was a varsity cheerleader and the homecoming queen her senior year. She participated in many school clubs and activities while at Houston Academy. She followed in her parent’s footsteps and attended the University of Tennessee where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She graduated from UT in 1992. She was a very active member at First United Methodist Church in Dothan where she was a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School class. As a member of the Dothan Service League she routinely taught exercise classes for the elderly as one of her many acts of service to the community. Elizabeth spent her life caring for others. She was selfless and loved by all that knew her. She was simply beautiful. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Brent Cook, two daughters- Virginia Dove Cook and Whitney Reid Cook; her parents Glenn Mack Dove and Nancy Reid Dove; her brother Reid Bentley Dove and his wife, Robin Boyd Dove and their two children James Halton Dove and Anna Reid Dove; her father in law, Gene and Amy Cook of Montgomery, AL; brother and sister in law George and Caroline Mann; nieces and nephews Thompson, Sarah Cosby and Rosemary Mann all from Auburn, AL. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the memorial fund at the First United Methodist Church in Dothan.
Pallbearers: Web Gholson, Dennis Egge, Trip Wheelless , Alan McDonald, Martin Price, Todd Thornell, Wint Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be the Cornerstone Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, November 23 from 11:30- 1:45 with the Service to follow at 2 pm in the Sanctuary.
A private family burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing
