HEADLAND. . .Elizabeth Holder Prescott, a resident of Headland, died Sunday afternoon, March 27, 2016, in a Dothan hospital. She was 67.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M Wednesday, March 30, 2016, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Roy Rogers officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M Wednesday in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in the Fairview Community of Coffee County, near Samson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Mrs. Prescott was born and reared in Midland City, daughter of the late Walker Holder and Elsie Bee Proctor Holder. She lived in Dothan before moving to Headland in 2004. Mrs. Prescott was a member of Harvest Church. She was formerly employed by Wesley Manor as a Nurse’s Assistant. Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by a daughter, Sissy Vann, and four brothers, Jesse Holder, Gerald Holder, Floyd Holder and James Holder.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Timothy Glen Prescott; three daughters, Tammy Messick, Dothan; Carol Woods, Mobile; and Alecia Collins, Headland; two sons, Jeff Collins (Tammy), Headland; and Troy Collins (Margaret), Webb; three brothers, Loyd Holder, Oneonta, AL; Billy Holder, Brewton, AL; and Joe Holder, Slocomb; a sister-in-law, Vicky Williams, Taylor; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tommy Davis, Tim Brackins, Charles Paulk, Jeffrey Collins, Chase Williams and Adam Collins.
