Elizabeth “Lizzie” Creech, a resident of Extendicare Dothan, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 91 years old.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 13, 2021, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Elizabeth Creech loved the Lord and her church, in earlier years she sang faithfully in the choir. Mrs. Creech married the love of her life, RJ Creech; they remained married for 57 years until his passing. Their union brought forth 10 children. Mrs. Creech joined New Hope Methodist AME Zion Church in Midland City, AL. After years of faithful service, she moved to Dothan, AL and joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Creech is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “RJ” Jackson Creech, mother, Mittie B Reese; fathers, Calvin Kilow and Charlie Reese; son, Gregory Creech; sisters, Sally Taylor, Emma Jean Terry, Edna Ward and Florine Waller; and brother, Elroy Kilow.
Survivors include; brother, Leroy Kilow; sister-in-law, Pecola Creech; daughters, Elizabeth Brown (Dothan,AL), Gwanda Asouzu (Moore) (Dothan,AL); seven sons, James Creech (Fort Walton Beach, FL), Robert Creech (Ozark,AL), Roger Creech (Covington, WA), Calvin Creech (Ozark, AL), Fredrick Creech (Miranda) (Sanford, NC), Tyrone Creech (Madison, WI) and Billy Creech (Midland City, AL); 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 2 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
