Ella Agnes Gary, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019. She was 90 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 105 Luther Way, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Gary was born on September 21, 1928 to the late Paul and Martha Hilbrich. She grew up in Texas where she met her husband and they started their family. In 1956, they moved to Dothan and became members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Gary loved sewing clothes for her daughters and enjoyed the crafts and sewing at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lee Gary Jr.; her daughter, Lois Robinson; and four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her two daughters, Berna Dean Flanagan and Cindy Lightsey; her son, Mark Gary (Kim); six grandchildren, Kelly Kingree (Tripp), Neal Flanagan (Mandy), Derek Robinson (Jessica), Tara May (Cliff), Rachel Goodson (Brian), and Marty Gary; nine great-grandchildren, Grayson Tramel, Macy Tramel, Will Robinson, Emma Kate Robinson, Miles May, Henry Goodson, John Thomas Goodson, Hayes Goodson, and Graham Goodson; one sister, Hilda “Susy” Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
