Elouise Martin Tyson McLain, age 86, of Rehobeth, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.


 


Born December 31, 1927 in Dothan to the late Grady and Cora Watford Martin, Mrs. McLain was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. Mama Weese, as everyone called her, enjoyed fishing, working in her yards, watching the Braves, and spending time with her family.


 


Mrs. McLain was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Tyson and Bob McLain; a brother, Bobby Martin and a sister Ruth Branton.


 


Survivors include her daughters, Gayle (Dwayne) Snell, Dothan; Brenda (Robert) Jordan, Gordon; and Linda (Don) Howerton, Rehobeth; her grandchildren, Pam Hawthorne, Beth Jordan, and Michella Bennett; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee Smith, Cora Bennett, Emerson Bennett, Claire Bennett, Raeleigh Jordan, and Slade Jordan; her sisters, Sara Dooling, Rehobeth and Merle Harrell, Taylor; her brother, Johnny (Evelyn) Martin, Dothan; other relatives and friends.


 


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Rehobeth Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2014 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


 


The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
