WICKSBURG. . .Emma Frances Parrish Richardson, a resident of Wicksburg, died Friday, August 25, 2023 at her home. She was 92.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 27, 2023, in the Bay Springs Baptist Church with her grandson, Judson Daughtry and Reverend Tommy Green officiating. Because of the extreme heat there will be no graveside service. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 in the church foyer. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.

            Mrs. Richardson was born in Daleville and was reared in Dale County, daughter of the late Clifton Lee Parrish and Flora Belle Garner Parrish. She was a graduate of Newton High School and lived in Wicksburg most of her lifetime. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. She retired from the Sony Corporation in 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac Twain Richardson, a sister Maxine McIntyre and a brother Jerry Parrish.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Julie Daughtry (Randy), Wicksburg, AL. and Starla Bowling (Kirk), Charlotte, NC; a son, David Richardson, Wicksburg, AL; two grandchildren, Judson Daughtry and Emma Hall; two sisters, Martha Tidwell, Ft. Walton Beach, FL. and Grace Elmore, Birmingham, AL; two brothers, James Parrish (Judy), Navarre Beach, FL. and Dan Parrish (Sherri), Flower Mound, TX; a sister-in-law, Sandra Parrish, Auburn, AL and several nieces and nephews.
