SKIPPERVILLE. . .Erma V. Morris German, a resident of Skipperville, died early Wednesday morning, November 29, 2017, at her home. She was 91.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 1, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mark Brantley, Reverend Terriel Andrews and Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel Community Church Building Fund, c/o John W. Bell, 8510 County Road 54, Skipperville, AL 36374 or Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL 36303.
            Mrs. German was a lifelong resident of the Enfinger Community, near Bell’s Crossroads, in Dale County, daughter of the late J. D. Morris and Eva C. Enfinger Morris. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel Community Church. Mrs. German was preceded in death by her husband, John L. German. Mrs. German was a retired employee of Phillips Van Heusen in Ozark after thirty-four years employment.


            Surviving relatives include a son, Royce D. Danford (Mary Ann), Skipperville; two sisters, Marie McDaniel, Skipperville; and Mildred Casey Gulledge (Rev. Winford), Headland; four half-sisters, Lula Bell Starrett, Birmingham; Doris Dixon (Bob), Dothan; Nell Smith (Gary), Clio; and Pat Howell, Enterprise; two half-brothers, Jimmy Morris (Linda), and Roger Morris, all of Enterprise; three grandsons, Ricky, Bryan (Sherry) and David; a great-grandson, Zachary Hughes; a great-granddaughter, Michelle Matthews; several  nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Trey Hulett, Jimmy Brown, Zachary Hughes, Braxton Bell, Bryan Hughes, Casey Hulett and Mike Riley.
