Obituary: Esther Culpepper Striplin


 


Esther Culpepper Striplin, beloved mother, Nana, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on June 25, 1953, in Baltimore, MD, where her parents worked for Martin Aircraft.



Esther was a resident of Hartford, AL, where she created a warm and loving home for her family. She was a dedicated wife to her high school sweetheart, Jimbo Striplin, and they shared many cherished memories together.

A talented seamstress, Esther found great joy in her favorite hobby of sewing with her best friend, Diane Gallaher.

Esther’s greatest passion in life was her family. She adored her children, Christopher Corbin and his wife, Staci, Melissa Collins and her husband, Brad, Jim Bob Striplin , and Holland Weathers and her husband, Tripp. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Kelsey Agosto and her husband, Juan Agosto, Morgan Hillard, Noah Collins, Ryan Corbin, Karoline Striplin, Meladey Collins and Henlee Weathers. She was also blessed with a great-grandson, Gabriel Dylan Agosto. Esther’s love and devotion to her family were unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her brothers, Larry Prindle, Ray Prindle, and his wife Laura Prindle, and her sister, Sandra Prindle. Esther’s warm smile, kind heart, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Margaret Prindle and first grandchild, Dylan Christopher Corbin.

A celebration to honor Esther’s life will be held Sunday, May 26 at 2:00 pm cst at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Co Rd 36, Hartford.
